Henry G. Chambers, MD

Dr. Henry Chambers is Director of the Southern California Cerebral Palsy Center at Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego, Co-Director of the 360 Sports Medicine Program, and Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of pediatric gait disorders, sports injuries, and cerebral palsy, with research interests in motion analysis and spasticity management using botulinum toxin.

A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Colorado, Dr. Chambers earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, where he was recognized for outstanding research, followed by fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics at Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego and UC San Diego.

Dr. Chambers is a past president of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and serves on the board of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. He is also associate editor of Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology.

Outside of his clinical and academic work, Dr. Chambers is a strong advocate for children and adults with disabilities and enjoys travel and the study of history.
